Last Christmas, I gave you..

Trudging through the snow, cozy evenings spent inside with the ones you love, twinkling lights, pretty decorations, a child's delight in handing out gifts, family traditions, missing loved ones. Joy. Peace. A Saviour is born. There is hope.

Christmas was over a month ago already, but I'm holding on to the memories and remembering what it meant to me. Winter is now in full swing, and I must say, I'm ready for some warmer weather! But before that happens, here are a few images to remind you (and myself!) that Christmas did exist.

join us in the trees.

It's hard to believe that Summer was just a few, short months ago! Not to say that I'm not enjoying this wonderfully cool, fall weather. It's perfect for spending evenings inside working on Christmas (yes, Christmas!) stationary. More on that later. I'd like to share with you a couple wedding pieces that I created back in June for my cousin and his oh-so-lovely bride. Their "join us in the trees" theme fit perfectly with their wedding day as they said their vows underneath a giant oak tree in Lower Fort Garry. And because I love weddings so much, I can't help but share with you a few photos of their day as well. Thanks to Lani Elias Photography for sharing with me the beautiful photos of the stationary.

waiting for summer.

I promise my life doesn't always look this pretty! Sometimes it's just nice to remind myself that in between all the working, wondering, and waiting, there are beautiful things that make life great. Things that remind me that summer is coming: Lilacs (oh the smell!), going for bike rides with my family, and the green fields that we see on our warm evening hikes "around town".  So much inspiration and beauty to be found while waiting for summer.

A little sneak peak of my latest wedding invitation design! Can't wait to share it all with you soon.
